The RP-7 Case takes it another step further with the addition of an innovative ballistic foam insert cut precisely to fit between the turntable chassis and the platter. Just remove the RP-7's platter, place the insert on the turntable, then place the platter on the insert before replacing the case lid. This suspends and isolates the turntable and the platter, completely preventing them from touching. This means that in the unfortunate event of a drop, the shock won't transfer from the platter into the motor or tonearm assemblies. This clever design solves one of the biggest potential risks associated with severe impact to a turntable, even if it is stored in a case. As a bonus, the platter insert has a cutout to hold your 45 record adapter, another item that is historically known to come loose inside most turntable cases. 

Another first for a turntable case that shows the attention to detail that went into the design of this case is a slot cut into one of the inner foam walls that accommodates a few 7-inch records, so you can select your next few tracks and keep your record sleeves within reach so you can maintain organization of your precious 45s while in the middle of a fast paced DJ set, or even for simply displaying the cover of your currently playing record if you like.
