Shure SM7dB Vocal Microphone with Built-In Preamp

The Shure SM7dB takes the legendary sound of the SM7B and adds a built-in Shure-designed preamp for a simpler, more flexible recording setup. Designed for podcasters, streamers, vocalists, musicians, and content creators, the SM7dB delivers the familiar SM7 sound while providing up to +28 dB of low-noise, flat, transparent gain directly from the microphone.

The onboard preamp offers selectable +18 dB or +28 dB gain, making it easier to pair the microphone with a wide range of XLR audio interfaces and mixers. When the built-in preamp is engaged, the SM7dB requires +48V phantom power. If additional gain is not needed, the preamp can be bypassed, allowing the microphone to operate with the original SM7B-style performance.

Built for professional voice and music recording, the SM7dB features a 50 Hz–20 kHz frequency response, a classic cardioid polar pattern, bass roll-off and presence boost controls, internal air-suspension shock isolation, electromagnetic shielding, and an integrated pop filter designed to reduce unwanted breath and mechanical noise.
