Hi-Fi Cartridges (Non-DJ)

Cartridges made specifically for home listening. These are often paired with elliptical stylii, which are not suitable for DJ use, as their shape is made to run along the groove of the record on one direction only: back-cueing or scratching with these can damage your records and wear down the needle quickly. However, for purely listening to records, they offer superior sound quality, with a much higher level of detail thanks to a narrower profile that lets the needle sit further down than a conical shape.
